e-mails, the House overrode $150 million of Mitt
Romney’s vetoes, and restored some of the funding cut
to vital programs like

K-12 education, legal services, and cancer screenings

Education and Training – Welfare recipients can
satisfy the new welfare work requirement for parents of
children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old through
participation in an education and training program.

Bilingual education – Two-way bilingual programs, in
which English-speaking children learn Spanish while
Spanish-speaking children learn English, are now exempt
from the anti-bilingual Unz initiative
